The Rolling Stones up for a BRIT!

The ultimate legends, a.k.a the mighty Rolling Stones, saw their first nod in 17 years at this year's Brits nominations. The band are up against Muse, The Vaccines, Mumford & Sons and Coldplay for the Best British Live Act Award. Other rockers nominated this year include The Black Keys and The Killers for Best International Act, and Jack White alongside Bruce Springsteen for Best International Male Solo. The Brits will be held on the 20th of February so good luck to the nominees.

The entire Metallica and Paul McCartney catalogues are now available on on Spotify when the streaming service launched their new Artist Pages. This is a new direction for Spotify where you now can't only see what your friends are listening to, but also follow your favourite Rock Legends. As Spotify gets louder with these two heavy weights, we look forward to a great year in playlisting.

Editor's Picks
Julian Cope - Saint Julian

The former Teardrop Explodes frontman really hit his stride in 1987 with Saint Julian, his third solo studio album and first for Island Records. An incredibly swaggering and confident rock record it was a huge commercial hit too, spawning the singles World Shut Your Mouth , 'Trampolene' and Eve's Volcano.

This 2-CD Re-Presents edition has been comprehensively remastered and comes with extensive sleevenotes from noted journalist Ian Harrison. The release includes the original album, rare B-sides and remixes, many of which are surfacing on CD / digital for the first time.
